Tetrilaunch
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
Tetrilaunch has no ads or advertising tracking. You may play as a guest, or choose a Google or Apple account to recover purchases across devices.
What stays on your device
Your settings, the display name you last used, your best score and all meta-progression (salvage, unlocks, upgrades) are stored locally in your browser or app storage. This never reaches us. Deleting the app, or clearing site data in your browser, erases it permanently — there is no cloud backup and no way for us to restore it.
What is sent, and only when you choose to
When you submit a score to the online leaderboard, we receive the run's result and nothing else:
- the display name you typed — capped at 12 characters, and stripped to letters, digits, spaces, hyphens and underscores
- your score
- the board the run was flown on — the Tier, or Tier S, or the Skydeck. Boards are ranked separately, so a score has to say which one it belongs to
- the highest bay reached
- the number of lines cleared
- for a Skydeck run only, the board day it was flown on — a calendar date in UTC, because the Skydeck is ranked one day at a time. Every other board is all-time and stores no day at all
- the time of submission
That is the whole leaderboard record. We do not ask for your phone number, contacts, location, photos or advertising ID. The display name is whatever you type — please do not enter your real name if you would rather not have it shown publicly, because the leaderboard is public by design.
Leaderboard entries are stored on Cloudflare infrastructure. As with any website, Cloudflare's servers process your IP address in transit in order to deliver the response and to block abuse. We do not store IP addresses alongside leaderboard entries, and we cannot link an entry back to a person.
Purchases
If you buy anything in the app, the transaction is handled by Apple, Google or a web payment provider and by RevenueCat, which tells the app whether your purchase is active. We never see your card details. RevenueCat uses a random anonymous ID for guests, or an identifier derived from your Google or Apple sign-in. Neither is an advertising identifier. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Optional player accounts
Sign-in is optional and does one thing: it keys your purchases to a durable identity so they can be recovered on another device. If you choose Continue with Google or Continue with Apple, that provider handles the sign-in, and the game keeps a stable identifier from it plus a display label on your device. The identifier also names your purchase record at RevenueCat. The game stores no account data on its own servers — there is no account database, and we never receive your password. We do not use any of this for advertising.
You can sign out or delete the account from Settings → Player Account. Deletion removes the purchase-identity record (the RevenueCat customer) and the identity stored on your device. It does not cancel or refund a purchase — that stays with the store account that bought it, and Restore Purchases can find it again — and it does not touch your local progress. Apple, Google and RevenueCat may retain transaction records where required for purchases, fraud prevention, tax or law.
Playtest recording
The app contains a developer tool that records gameplay timings for balance testing. It is switched off by default, has to be enabled deliberately from a developer console, and contains no network code at all — the data is written to local storage and can only be exported by hand. It does not run, and collects nothing, in normal play.
Children
Tetrilaunch is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Since the only field a player can enter is a display name, the simplest protection is the one above: don't put a real name in it.
Third parties
Its fonts are bundled into the app rather than fetched from Google Fonts. Guest gameplay does not contact an advertising network or analytics provider.
Outbound connections may go to our leaderboard API; to Google or Apple when you use player-account features; and to RevenueCat, which the app contacts when it starts in order to find out whether you already own the Full Game, and again when you open the store or make a purchase. Apple, Google or a web payment provider handle the payment itself. The purchase screen is rendered by RevenueCat and may load its own resources.
Your choices
- Play as a guest if you do not want to create an account.
- Account deletion: use Settings → Player Account → Delete Account.
- Removal: to have a leaderboard entry deleted, contact us with the display name, score and roughly when it was set, and we will remove it.
- Local data: clear it yourself at any time by deleting the app or clearing the site's storage.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it and the updated version is published here before the change takes effect.
